From August 11-15, 2024, I attended the 21st Estonian Summer School on Computer and Systems Science. There was a poster session where I presented my conceptual work titled “Integrating large language models into business process models”. This work specifically suggested an approach in connecting large language models (LLMs) to business process management models (BPM). Large Language Models (LLMs) have the potential to significantly streamline business operations. My concept divides business process into four phases, based on classical business process lifecycle approach.
Business process lifecycle (Weske,2019,Business process management concepts languages architectures, 3rd Ed.)
Fo each of the business process lifecycle phases there are known steps that enable the execution of that phase and the entire lifecycle. My poster presentation suggested means where LLMs could be integrated to automate the lifecycle.
